Tangle Teezer

If  you are an avid follower of the hair care community, then you may have heard about the new detangling product on the market called the Tangle Teezer. According to the Sally's website, Tangle Teezer is "your perfect hair care partner! A Tangle Teezer hair brush will break the cycle of broken hair and give tangled hair the brush off. A revolution in detangling hair, it has the ability to flex and not pull upon contact with tangles, gently and effortlessly delivering smooth and shiny hair in an instant." It is marketed as being great for all hair types.

Now, on first glance, that thing looks scary. It looks like a recipe for hair breakage. But, something about the close and staggered bristles and the way it is held has gotten everyone reviewing about its miracle detangling and smoothing properties on even the most coily hair textures. Just do a search. Blog post, Youtube videos, forums.....everyone is raving about it! So now my interest has been peaked. I've been mainly finger detangling for the last 2 months, only using my paddle brush maybe once a month. BUT, i'm curious and I think I want to try this Tangle Teezer, especially if it can decrease the time or make my hair smoother for certain styles . At $10 at Sally's, I think it's worth a shot! So, I'm going to buy it and let you guys know how it goes. If you have one, share your reviews!

A New Day

""This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind...let it be something good." author unknown"

I stumbled on this quote while doing a search and wow, what a great quote it is. How much better our world would be if we took this perspective on every day of our lives? Just a thought. A challenge: Consciously do something meaningful everyday for the next month; something that makes you say "today was a good day" everyday. That may be from doing something meaningful for yourself or someone else. Something as simple as a compliment can be meaningful to others. Spending that extra time with your family may be meaningful to you. Whatever it is, let us challenge ourselves to make better use of our day to day lives. Hopefully a month becomes a lifetime of good days. After all, we only have one today. Why not make it good?
